Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 7, 2026
Hue.Church (“Hue,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit hue.church, fill out our forms, give online, or interact with our online services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information collected automatically when you use the Services.
- Information you provide: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, prayer requests, testimonies, family details (e.g., for child check-in), and any other content you submit through forms.
- Giving information: donation amount, frequency, and limited payment details. Payment card numbers are processed by our payment provider and are not stored on our servers.
- Automatically collected: IP address, device and browser type, referring page, pages visited, and interactions with the site, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
2. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and connect you with our pastoral team.
- To process and acknowledge donations and issue tax receipts.
- To welcome first-time guests and provide next-step resources.
- To improve the Services, content, and our ministry communications.
- To measure the performance of our advertising and outreach.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect the safety of our community.
3. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies, tracking pixels, and similar technologies — including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API — to understand how people find and use the Services, and to make our outreach more effective. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Services may not work as expected.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers who help us run the Services (for example: Planning Center for forms and giving, Vercel for hosting, Google for analytics and ads, Meta for advertising and conversion measurement, email/SMS providers).
- Pastoral and ministry team members who follow up with guests, prayer requests, and care needs.
- Legal and safety reasons when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our community.
5. Data we send to advertising partners
To measure ad performance and improve targeting, we send hashed identifiers (such as SHA-256 hashed email and phone) and event metadata to Google and Meta through server-side APIs. This information is hashed before transmission and is used to match conversions to ad clicks. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your Google and Meta account settings.
6. Children
Information about children (for example, names, ages, allergies, and parent contact details) is collected only with parental consent for the purposes of child check-in and ministry communication. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children online without a parent or guardian’s involvement.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described above, comply with legal and tax obligations (for example, retaining giving records), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or from the Services.
9. Your choices and rights
- Access, correction, or deletion: email info@hue.church and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
- Email opt-out: use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us.
- Cookies: manage them in your browser settings.
- California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we have collected and the right to request deletion. Contact us to exercise these rights.
10. International users
The Services are operated from the United States. If you access them from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those of your country.
11. Third-party links
The Services link to third-party websites and tools (such as YouTube, Instagram, Planning Center, and Church Center). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. Please review their policies separately.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
