It is a reasonable thing to want to know before you commit a morning to something. Sunday is one of two days you get, and nobody wants to discover at the ninety minute mark that there is no end in sight.

The honest range across churches is wide. A traditional liturgical service often runs about an hour. Many contemporary churches land between 75 and 90 minutes. Some run considerably longer than that. If a church does not publish the length anywhere, that is usually a sign it varies.

Ours is about 70 minutes and it is fairly consistent. Roughly twenty minutes of music, a few minutes of welcome and announcements, and about thirty to thirty five minutes of teaching from the Bible, then a closing song. Doors open at 10:15 if you want coffee first, and we are done a little before noon.

We keep it to 70 minutes on purpose. A lot of people here work long weeks in tech and have exactly one unscheduled morning. Respecting that is part of how we try to treat people. It also means the teaching has to be tight, which is not a bad discipline for whoever is preaching.

You are free to leave at any point, for any reason, and nobody will follow you out or ask about it later.
